Julia and I skied at Gore yesterday. Was a lot of fun. She is going to be a great skier.

My memory of the beginning of our trip to Germany was Mr Miller’s wife stating the three sentences that everyone must know. Wo is die toiletten? Ein Bier bitte and danke. I am guessing on the third one, I am positive on the first two. The flight was long, the music on the headset seemed to repeat I want Money by the flying lizards over and over again. Landing in Frankfurt we were greeted by guards holding machine guns and German sheppards. Welcome to the cold war. It was 1980. It was a blur.

Dave was all action, grabbing bags and running for the bus.
Some of us checked out the airport.

And others were happy to pose for pictures.
Peter was ready to trade pins having brought the Lake Placid 80 Olympic pins along for the ride.

Street Bowling
March 10th, 2008
Many years ago when there was more time, fewer diapers and less responsibility it was hard to find things to do. In age before xbox, playstations and the wii you had to do real bowling. Unfortunetly, you had to actually go to a bowling alley. Unless you had half a bowling ball, empty canned beverages and a reasonably clear sidewalk. This is usually safe unless you decide that the event needs photo documention. The word Strike should have been followed by Jump! or Get out of the way! but the empty canned beverages may have slowed down some reaction times. The blood eventually stopped, the scar remains and the story continues to grow.

March 9th, 2008It is hard to understand how these things happen. My dad was a Mets fan and I could root for them. I have fond memories of yelling Mooooooooookkkkiiiiiiiieeeeee at Mookie Wilson when the Mets played the Expos in Montreal.
My dad always gave me grief when I cheered for the Red Sox. In 2003, he almost called at 12:30 to share his shoulder when the Sox fell to the cursed Yankees yet again. He cheered the next year though. He would have cheered again last year, maybe he did.
I cant understand this though.

Sean says he roots for both teams but he doesn’t know that it isnt possible.
